BioWorkshop

Mission Statement

The BioWorkshop, supported by the Fischell Department of Bioengineering at the University of Maryland – College Park, is a shared equipment facility providing researchers access to a wide range of scientific instrumentation.

The facility houses a wide range of instrumentation covering a variety of techniques such as imaging, materials characterization, flow cytometry, liquid chromatography, and more. (Flyer)

Unlike a more traditional core facility that accepts your samples and generates the data for you, the BioWorkshop is primarily a shared equipment user facility: researchers are provided essential training and guidance to operate instrumentation independently and use the facility as a workshop for investigating a range of scientific questions.
