Overview of Services

 

 
1. Mission:
The mission of the University Clinical Research Center (UCRC) ImmunoCore Laboratory is to provide high quality immunological assays, expert consultation, and training to investigators interested in conducting clinical and translational research in Mali, West Africa. We offer a wide variety of flow cytometry instruments, which are maintained by a robust internal and external proficiency testing system in order to provide the highest levels of performance to our users. We adhere to international good laboratory practices and regulatory standards of quality control and biosafety procedures.

2. Service:
The laboratory is equipped with state-of-art flow cytometry instrumentation to perform phenotypic and functional assays. The cytometry service ranges from basic four colors analysis to more complex acquisition, involving up to 16 colors.  In addition to flow cytometry-based service, the ImmunoCore Laboratory has also the capacity to assist you in:

  • Performing routine immunological assays such as ELISA and ELISPOT
  • Building your bio-repository by isolating, collecting and cryopreserving peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), serum and plasma
  • Providing short-term training to your staff that is tailored to your research agenda
  • Providing expert opinion and guidance on analyzing and presenting your results

Based on the services listed above, the role of the UCRC ImmunoCore laboratory in your research protocol can be stratified in different models as followed:

  • PI or their designees will work independently using the ImmunoCore lab equipment
  • PI or their designees will work with our laboratory staff to run samples and analyze data.
  • PI will ask the ImmunoCore Lab staff to run and analyze their samples.
