Overview of Services

 

The Optical Imaging and Microscopy Platform provides training and access to a variety of cutting-edge light microscopes and image analysis software. The platform is equipped with an upright point-scanning confocal microscope, three widefield fluorescence microscopes with CCD cameras (one of them with a motorized stage for scanning and image stitching applications), three stereo-microscopes (two of them prepared for fluorescence imaging with CCD cameras) and one DIC brightfield microscope.

  • Leica M205C - Brightfield Stereo Microscope (fly dissection)
  • Zeiss AxioScope A1 (DIC) - Brightfield Microscope
  • Training, Sample Imaging and Imaging / Image Analysis Consulting 

 

Usage Rules

 

Training is mandatory. Untrained users have to request a Training Session. Upon completion of the Training Session, users can request Assisted Sessions in the booking system (which have to be confirmed by the Platform staff and can only be planned during working hours). When a user is judged to be fully independent, he is allowed to use the system with no restriction on hours of access.
