Overview of Services

 

The Champalimaud Histopathology Platform offers world-class services to investigators, such as sectioning and staining, as well as know-how for morphological and molecular characterization of a variety of tissues, providing appropriate tools and instruments required for embedding, sectioning, staining and documentation.

 

Using the Histopathology Platform, investigators will be able of get thin sections of fixed samples, allowing them to study specific structures, mechanisms,  cells and elements, respectively involved, as if they were in vivo.

 

With specialized technicians, the service will promote team work planning, preparing and discussing the best way to perform the experiments according to the final objective and the available techniques, allowing investigators to save time and resources.

 

Services

Currently, the Histopathology Platform provides the following histology services:

  • Cryostat sectioning
  • Vibratome sectioning
  • Nissl Staining
  • Immunohistochemistry
