The Core Media Preparation Facility prepares high quality, chemically-defined tissue culture and bacteriological media necessary for on-going cell growth research at MSKCC in an efficient, economical and convenient manner.
With the assistance of highly skilled research technicians, the Facility can produce over 300 different culture media. These include commonly prepared media or more complex formulations to accommodate the specific needs of researchers. Fetal Bovine Serum and an assortment of supplements are available upon request and can be added to any formulation as needed. Most media requests are processed within a week and in many cases orders are released within 24 hours of being made.
