Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide an excellent physical and intellectual environment for researchers to carry out cutting-edge stem cell research for biological and biomedical discovery.
About the Core:
Gladstone Stem Cell Core (GSCC) is a shared research facility that provides service, training, reagents and equipment for research using human and mouse embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells. We provide everything needed to culture, manipulate and image stem cells, including biosafety cabinets, plasticware, media, reagents, microscopes. We offer comprehensive training for researchers interested in incorporating stem cell experiments into their projects and strive to help you implement emerging technologies for stem cell studies. In addition, we provide expert services, and welcome custom projects and collaborations, for research involving human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs).
GSCC provides all of the resources required for research using mouse and human ESCs and iPSCs:

Human iPSC line: CRISPRi Gen2C, frozen cryovial |
Tetracycline-inducible CRISPR interference system in WTC11 human iPSC line. Contains the Tet-on-3G system driving expression of dCas9-KRAB (in one allele of the AAVS1 locus) in the human WTC iPSC line. With doxycycline addition, dCas9-KRAB is expressed. The other AAVS1 allele is wildtype. This cell line has no fluorophores. It is useful for repressing specific genes in human iPSCs and in early cell lineages. 1e6 cells per vial. Passage 33.14. Normal karyotype at passage 33.14. Reference:CRISPR Interference Efficiently Induces Specific and Reversible Gene Silencing in Human iPSCs.
