Overview of Services

The Histology Core Facility provides expertise in pathology and all aspects of histology, as well as, tissue microarray analysis. We generate slides from both frozen or fixed tissue samples and process them with various stains and antibodies. Our Aperio ScanScope XT system as well as a new Aperio FL for scanning fluorescently labeled slides allow high resolution digitizing of entire histological specimens, as well as quantitative and morphometric analysis, and worldwide sharing of these images.  The Laser capture microscope system (MMI CellCut) facilitates isolation and molecular analysis of specific tissues and individual cells.
