Mouse Metabolism and Phenotyping Core

Overview of Services

 

 

The Mouse Metabolic and Phenotyping Core (MMPC) is a comprehensive fee-for-service rodent phenotyping core providing investigators with a wide variety of state of the art equipment and techniques. We work to standardize key methodologies, and to expedite comprehensive research analyses on diseases related to cancer, cardiovascular dysfunction, metabolic disorders, mouse models of human disease and drug studies.

 

MMPC services include:

  • Cellular Oxygen Consumption and Glycolysis Monitoring
  • Euglycemic Hyperinsulinemic Insulin Clamp
  • Glucose Metabolism
  • Lipid Metabolism
  • Blood Chemistry
  • Contineous infusion for Invivo metabolomics studies
  • Ultrasound, CT, Xray, and Bioluminescence imaging
  • CLAMS and Indirect Calorimetry
  • Dexa and Echo MRI
  • Surgical services and surgery room rental
